club gradings
“Is my child ready for their next belt?” is a question all Judo instructors hear all the time. It is also a great question to be asking the Sensei or Instructors at the club. Why? Because if you ask then the coach can give you an indication of where they think your child’s progression is.
Gradings are performed at the club on the dates below and are a way of showing how well your progressing at the club.
Its important you understand that a white belt with one green stripe does not mean your any less capable than a white belt with three green stripes. Most of the grading levels are determined by your age.
The Samurai Instructors will take you as far as they can.
There is no rush to climb the Obi ladder, unlike some other martial arts that promise you a black belt by the time your 7yrs old, a Judo Colour is earned over time.
